The film depicts the rise and fall of the Athenian bon viveur poet Napoleon Lapathiotis (1888-1944). Homosexual, drug addict and communist, he was a scandal for the conservative Athenian society of the time in which, for some time, he lived, with his lifestyle and biotheory. The narrative mainly illuminates the personal life of the poet. A life unconventional for the data of his time and for the social class from which he came. The script is based on a series of authentic documents and develops against the background of the major historical events of a period of political, cultural and social rearrangements.
