Martin Terrier wants to quit his job as a contract killer. But his organized crime employers don't want him because Terrier knows too much and is still useful to the organization. Determined to do his own thing, he escapes to the countryside where he meets Claire and soon the two fall in love. When Terrier learns that all his money has been stolen from the bank, he returns to Paris to confront his bosses, who offer him one last job in exchange for returning all his money and leaving him alone.
