Ursula, a waitress from East Germany with a broken heart, falls for a mysterious musician. Neda, an Iranian YouTuber with a fractured arm, thinks she has recognized a long-lost compatriot in an enigmatic street cleaner. Two young women while lonely and trapped in a dead-end routine cross paths in the small town of Sangerhausen, setting off on a strange and unexpected journey that blurs the line between fantasy and reality.
Rising Franco-German filmmaker Julian Radlmaier -who once apprenticed to New German Cinema legend Werner Schroeter- delivers a tender, politically resonant dramedy about friendship, love, and the quiet yearning of the underprivileged for a better life.
World premiere and official competition selection at the Locarno Film Festival. Also selected for the festivals of Sarajevo, Busan, and others.
