In the early 90s, 13-year-old, talented Carolina joins a renowned Czech children’s choir, alongside her older sister. Her remarkable voice catches the attention of the conductor—whom all the girls strive to impress. She is happy to stand out, but soon realizes that it comes at a cost... 

Inspired by true events that shook Czech society, the filmmaker sensitively portrays a painful coming-of-age story, delving deep into the psychology of the girls and a world where everything appears fine on the surface. The powerful choral performances and music enhance the mood of this psychological drama, which explores the theme of abuse within relationships of trust.
