Two brothers grow up in a harsh mining village without a mother. The older, Stelios, deserts the army and vanishes. Years later, police officer Giannis discovers forged documents suggesting Stelios is alive. His search becomes a journey of self-discovery: he confronts his identity, questions life, freedom, and belonging, and treads the fine line between law and rebellion.

In his debut, Panos Karkanevatos delivers a powerful road drama capturing the hero’s inner journey.

Andreas Sinanos’ stunning cinematography along the magical Strymon River, outstanding performances, and evocative music create a deeply atmospheric experience.
