David -once a successful painter- has lost control of his life, having been responsible for the death of his seven-year-old daughter, Leonie, after a fatal decision. Five years later, he discovers a door that offers him the chance to start over. However, he soon finds himself trapped in a dark reality, as not everything in the past is what it seems.
The colors are solid and vibrant, the action scenes intricately choreographed, and the score by Fabian Römer proves highly effective in the emotionally charged scenes while simultaneously accelerating the pace as time becomes a precious commodity in this slow-burning thriller.
